CLOUD HOUSE

El proyecto cuida la privacidad, el soleamiento y la relación con el espacio ajardinado.

DESCRIPTION

The “cloud house” is located in Vélez-Málaga, between the Sierra de Tejeda and the Mediterranean Sea. The 500 m2plot has several grapefruits. Around one of them, a central patio structures the housing program in two floors and a basement. The project takes care of privacy, study the most favorable sunlight and the relationship of the ground floor with the landscaped space of the plot as a living extension of the interior rooms.
The day house, open to the plot, is a continuous space, free of pillars, that organizes the uses of the living room-patio-study-kitchen and dining room. On the first floor, the night house groups together the bedrooms with individual patios that protect from possible views of neighboring homes. The independence of the first floor with respect to the ground floor, makes it a floating house, a silent “cloud”, under whose protection the daily tasks open to the patio and garden. Next to the central patio, different shaded areas improve thermal comfort of the house and expand the ways of living it.
